Yeah, I think you really need to lighten it up a bit..not bad though. nice take on erwt's style.

Way too dark, you can make units darker in the WE, but not lighter.

the lighting is really strange as well, i must say. I'm flattered you would say i influence you, heh.

It needs higher contrast, generally speaking. The thing is so dark becouse it lacks midtones. It has the highlights, it has the shadows, but really lacks those tasty mid-tones. You should also put some more detail in his cloth, and pay a little more attention to how it falls on the model, the folds dont look all that natural.

I gotta say, I've skinned this before and it doesnt look like youve changed much of it

he didnt say you recolored it travinkel dear, he merely said you didnt stray too far from the original skins looks. Wich is not nescesarily bad, though generally seen as a waste of effort.

You could do a lot more with it, make it a lot cooler and fresher.
