Hello, this is my map, "The Legend of Stalvan". Basically a group of people take a shortcut through a vast, corrupted forest, when their cart breaks down and they are stranded in the middle of nowhere. They witness the entrance of an invisible agent of death, who's out to kill them. The catch is the killer is actually one of the group of people. Players must scramble and survive for 10 minutes while trying to figure out who the killer is. After 10 minutes players can accuse each other, and if someone accuses the right guy, he gets a Gyrocopter to hunt down the killer and kill him for good. I wanted it to be a simple, fun map. If the killer is good (and/or there are many players playing) it can be both scary and hectic. -I guess you could call this a survival map, or maybe a hide and seek map, or a "guess the killer" map if theres such a map type -At the beginning of the game you can choose the race and gender of the character you will be watching run around for 10 minutes with -The minimum players is technically 3, since then you wouldn't easily know who the killer is -If theres no time to organize a game (or you can't get enough players) I have 2 replays here of some fun games during my experience in B.Net, although I think you only see the game text if you're watching me (dwarf_priest) -Theres no relation to WoW, but I got my name from it (because when I did that quest it was very spooky )-I also have a screenshot included from 1 of the replays during the accusation phase -I hope you enjoy it Also I don't really know how to make pictures with photoshop (so I have my minimap image lol) and I don't know a lot about triggering or advanced techniques (although I know a few) but I tried to make this map very fun and hopefully in time I can learn to do such stuff to make my map look better. |

We'll test it as soon as we can make time. |

Terrain was flat, you used only blight and grass tiles, you used only one type of doodad (trees). I put my unit on hold position behind a tree for 10 min and everyone knew who the killer was after only a few min because he didn't move his own unit (blade.dk!). Boring! Dissapproved. |

That doesn't do justice to it. I've seen poor terrain and pathing, but this was horrible. The minimap was probably what really made it bad. If the terrain is decent, one should be able to see pathing from the minimap, in even the worst of cases. I compared the pathing in this map to Bago's Quest, but far worse. Also, the gameplay was lacking in many ways, including, like GaDDeN said, that one could sit and do nothing all game, and that if the player was the evil guy, they just sat with their unit. Most games like this involve one unit, so your unit is... actually moving around. |

I agree about the terrain, it was hard to work with and not legendarily beautiful. Yes, finding out who was the killer was easy. And sometimes when you accidently scrolled the camera, finding your unit again took ages. I agree with what have been said above. This map does not get my approval as it is right now. |

Like Blade, I agree with all that has been said. Perhaps your unit should be a hero in order to make it easier to find. I do not approve of this in its current state. You have 48 hours to request this to be sent to Map Projects for further development or I will send it to the graveyard. |
