Slow Cinematic Transition

Hi, I am relatively new to the World Editor (and to these forums), and I am stuck in a little bit of mud.

In my first map of my campaign (making one for practice), it starts off as a cinematic. The cinematic itself is all fine and dandy, however, I am having the same problem over and over again.

Quickly before the cinematic begins, you can hear the original starting music and you can still see some of the interface before it changes fully into letterbox mode. Here is the messy trigger I am using.

Time - Elapsed game time is 0.00 seconds

Cinematic - Clear the screen of text messages for (All players)
Cinematic - Turn cinematic mode On for (All players)
Sound - Play Tension
Cinematic - Turn on letterbox mode (hide interface) for (All players): fade out over 2.00 seconds
Cinematic - Disable user control for (All players)
Visibility - Disable fog of war
Visibility - Disable black mask
Camera - Apply Camera 001 <gen> for Player 1 (Red) over 0.00 seconds
Wait 2.00 seconds
Cinematic - Send transmission to (All players) from Sylvius Stormwind 0000 <gen> named Sylvius: Play No sound and display I still do not see .... Modify duration: Add 5.00 seconds and Wait
Cinematic - Send transmission to (All players) from General 0011 <gen> named Lord Gilliath: Play No sound and display Do no doubt the kin.... Modify duration: Add 4.00 seconds and Wait
Cinematic - Send transmission to (All players) from General 0011 <gen> named Lord Gilliath: Play No sound and display I would expect a ma.... Modify duration: Add 4.00 seconds and Wait

Unit - Order Captain 0001 <gen> to Move To (Center of Cap1 <gen>)
Unit - Make General 0011 <gen> face Captain 0001 <gen> over 1.00 seconds
Unit - Make Sylvius Stormwind 0000 <gen> face Captain 0001 <gen> over 1.00 seconds
Cinematic - Send transmission to (All players) from Captain 0001 <gen> named Captain: Play No sound and display My deepest apologie.... Modify duration: Add 3.00 seconds and Wait
Wait 1.00 seconds
Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units in Movement <gen>) and do (Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units in Movement <gen>) and do (Unit - Order (Picked unit) to Move To (Center of Movement End <gen>)))
Unit - Make General 0011 <gen> face (Last created unit) over 1.00 seconds
Unit - Make Sylvius Stormwind 0000 <gen> face 90.00 over 1.00 seconds
Unit - Create 1 Night Elf Transport Ship for Player 4 (Purple) at (Center of Ship create <gen>) facing Default building facing degrees
Camera - Apply Camera 002 <gen> for Player 1 (Red) over 2.00 seconds
Unit Group - Pick every unit in (Units in Ship create <gen>) and do (Unit - Order (Last created unit) to Move To (Center of Ship Enter <gen>))
Camera - Apply Camera 003 <gen> for Player 1 (Red) over 5.00 seconds

Is there anyway to avoid this? I have seen such a problem being fixed before, just never found out how to.

Welcome to the forums.

My guess would be that your trouble lies with the letterbox mode action, since it moves to letterbox mode over a 2 seconds fade. I'm not sure the action is needed anyway, as far as I know turning the cinematic mode on should already activate the letterbox mode.

If that doesnt work try to move the actions to map init event.

I have tried, not only does it make no difference, but it won't play the music theme in the trigger.

Well my suggestion was only if anitarfs wasnt enough to work, you should remove the letterbox mode action (and the disable control, and visibility actions too, cinematic mode does that all automaticly).
