Doom in Dun Morough

Story
The fall of the Burning Legion is now a thing of the past. Terror has crept its way into Khaz Modan and devastated the dwarves that live there. Dun Morough is in ruins. Wild beasts, taking back the wilderness, Darkirons, raiding and destroying towns. Kharanos is the only Bronzebeard stronghold remaining in Dun Morough, and soon it may too fall...

Then one day, a lone warrior returns to his home town of Kharanos, only to find his homeland consumed by evils. Play as the warrior to help take back Dun Morough and protect Kharanos. Experience and quest through vast new areas.

Some of the Features it will Include
-a whole epic map to explore. -40%-
-an appealing new combat system. -0%-
-tons of new models and skins. -75% to 90%, depending on how many new units i think i need-
-a whole new tileset, tons of custom doodads. -??%-
-many exciting quests to complete. -0%-

Team Members so far
-me - modelling, terraining, skinning, animating, concepting
-Nasrudin - doodads
-Thunder_Eye - exctracting some things for me

What People We Need

1.Most importantly a very good triggerer/jasser to make the combat system
2.Someone to trigger all the quests.
3.Conceptors for quests, abilities, skills(you learn about this from me if you join:))
4.Modellors and skinners are always welcome
5.Everyone who wants probably can help out:)

Terrain isn't that bad, the trees don't mix well though.

err you have a project with no triggerers?


and you might want to add that many of those models are taken from WoW


oh and btw the tree scales are pretty messed up, some are like minature and others are huge.

WotTH is very alive:P Once JnM finishes triggering the map he's working on i'll finish up that map so we can get hosted

Yeah two of the trees and a log are from WoW, i am going to use new ones. And they are small cause they are a different type of tree that doesnt grow so big:P

Ofcourse there are no triggerers, this is a pretty new project that not many people had known about it. Hopefully soon that will not be an issue

it looks to me as if the goat or ram or whatever is from WoW too or at least partially

anyways is this even a campaign? you only mention 1 map

This is only one map atm, but i am going to make into a campaign of similar maps following the same storyline. And NO, that ram is not for WoW:P

either that or that random model TiJiL made for OH a looong time ago,

Stop saying everything i make is from WoW:P And TiJiL did not make it, Nasrudin did

And I have only started making one map. Someone can move it to map gathering if they want, but its going to be a campaign once i get more done on it .

I'll presume its single player then.

By the way, you won't be getting a triggering to make the combat system without saying what the combat system is. What a triggerer can make is limited by their ability.

Yeah its single player.

For the combat system i was hoping to have something with different attacks like quick and strong attacks, block and spells all controlled by the keyboard. So you could do a quick attack with high attack rate but less damage, and you could block but not attack at that time. I dunno, i'm not explaining it very well but if anyone's played oblivion i want it to be like that.

Things that i would want in the combat system that maybe could be done;
1.You use fatigue like mana for the attacks, once your fatigue gets lower it lowers your attack damage and possibly the amount of damage you block,

2.Different attacks with different damage and attack rate so you can use different ones to your likings, possibly making effective combos.

3.Another thing like Morrowind and Oblivion, when you wear a certain type of armor for longer you gain skill in it, increasing your defense when you wear that armor. I think, since your characters wears fairly heavy armor, the three types of armor would be mesh, mail and plate.

I know some of these are complicated, but maybe someone would want to attempt it

Eh , why don't you make it more realistic , like heavy armor and weapons slow speed , add a weight system (the more items you got , the more weight you gain and so if he's riding a horse , the horse falls because of heavy weight , and also to limit this and make it balanced add some magical heavy armours that don't affect speed , also don't ever use models from wc3 for the characters...

Seems like you've got a few ideas, but ya really need a storyline. Other than "your the hero, so save stuff". I could maybe do that for ya.
