Friends Battle

I'm making a melee style map, in which there are 3 races (maybe four, it depends) They currently are: Demons, blood elf, and naga. Now, whats different about this map is that it involves my friends! (is this a good idea, I'm just wondering) There are 3 heroes per race. If I do add a fourth race, what should it be? Also, when it's done I'm gonna ned some beta testers to make sure all the hereos are evenly matched. (i'm afraid that the hero based off of me is really really uber...) Anyone who gives me any useful advice (or beta tests w/ me) will be added to a list of credits in the Loading screen. Thx in advance!

I think he means that his friends and him are characters in the game that you play with (correct me if I'm wrong, please).

This is surely funny for you and your friends, but I do not know how funny it will be for people who don't know you. If you are going to do it, then you should include a lot of background info about you and your friends, else people won't understand much.

Or include celebrities from the modding community :D

Thx for the adivce. Yes, me and my friends are characters. And I'll try and put a cinematic in the beginning showing everyone and some background on each (Name(first) age, hobbies, and some friendship info.) That would fit. ANd maybe I will make a map with famous modders (Blade, whitehorn, vex, tim, etc.) It's in the melee style, so It's gonna tale me a while (i'm not very good at this, but I'm learning fast. I'll try to get a quick beta with the hero stats soon.

Being serious, if this map is about you and your friends, then keep it about that, it would be silly if it were about you and your friends+so-called famous modders.

Do you plan to use custom abilities, model, skins or so, or will you use the original ones? When you have made the object editing and all that stuff, will you only make one melee map or multiple?

Ok, If i made a map with modders, it wouldnt be this one. Second, I'm using custom ablilities and spells, but not skins or models (i can't do that) I don't plan on making more than one map, but if it works out well, I may make more that relate to this one (maybe a campaign, if I can figure out how to get it so people can downlaod and play it, but thats way later in the future. Once I'm done with the heroes, I'll make a quick map that explains it, or I'll just senf the whole map so you can look at it (beta testers, etc.) I was thinkning of a footie frenzy style, but that's for later (maybe a branch of this...) thx again everyone!

It's official, I'm having a fourth race. Any ideas on what it should be? I'm looking for rarely (or never) played races (thats why I'm doing naga, blood elf, and demon) I was thinking maybe a gnoll or kobold race, maybe even they tauren (that includes centurs btw) any ideas are greatly appriectiated!

You can't put centaur and taurens in the same race, they are enemies afaik, would be like an army of both angels and demons.

Kobolds would be a great race, in my opinion.

rly? I thought they used to be allies but split up. Oh well. The kobolds were another choice of mine, it would be cool to have them... BTW blade, I just played your Arcane arena map, and i must say this. (pardon my language...) IT OWNS MAJOR ASS!!!!! I love your map, and I'm gonna have a friend of mine try it with me. I like how you added an AI for practice, or I never would have been able to play by myself. Thx for the advice AND a great arena!

That might be right, I don't know extremely much about it. But as I have understood it, they are enemies now, they might have been allies before that, I don't know.

your very much welcome, and i enjoy WC3Corruption. I feel horrible for my sins of hating terranup16 (i never knew him, but i was angry bout the spamming thing) I will now go and slam my ears into an oven. (dobby, Harry Potter) I just showed my friend your arena and he loves it. I like the wendigo shaman hero, he owns...The ice prison should do damage tho at the last level or somethine, that would be cool. And it's official, the Kobolds are my fourth and final race. Hooray! Right now, I'm wwriting down the final copy of the heroes and abilities and race. Also, I'm doing the buildings and units for the races. This is going to be a very cool melee map when it's done, but I'll need some 1337 skillz *cough* Blade.dk *cough* for it to work well. Thx one more time for all the help.
