LOTR: The Second Age

This map is a 6on6 upgradable spawn rts based loosely around the closing of the Second Age/Beggining of the Third Age of Middle Earth. In the most generic description possible...each team has heros/demis and buildings that spawn different troops, troops you can upgrade by training castles. Underneath that core gameplay concept though, there are findable units, takeable spawns, obtainable heros, strategic upgrades, team specific benefits, capturable key points, hidded/earnable items, book related events, and much more. Its fourth version is currently in the works, and looks to be the best one yet hopefully because I am incoporating more in depth concepts into it. The terrain is featured below, if yall are interested in this map, I will update the thread further as I go. Special thanks to vile for helping me compress and reduce lag, <3 ya buddy

Northern Lorien

Nice terrain and doodad placement, but Minas Tirith is a bit small, and it could probably use some custom models.

Thanks Olof, do you have any that you know of? I usually try to avoid doodad custom models, but if you have a few that are small in size, ill look into it.

The terrain is nice. Just a minor nit on Minas Tirith; it's a paved city, so I don't really think their should be grass in the streets :). I also think it might look better with a more 'paved road' type tile, but I'm not a terrainer, so take that with a pinch of salt.

Yes I do...
I myself have made Moria doodads
Orthanc
Barad'dur
All small files
And I've also made Sauron, a bit bigger, but still fairly small for a unit
There's a link to all my resources on wc3c in my sig

And Nasrudin and Born2Modificate have made lots of cool tree doodads most of them are very small
Nasrudin posted a lot of his here on wc3c, but Born2Modificate, you'll have to search on wc3sear.ch for that.

A tip; don't have that many heroes, it's just confusing. But the terrain is beautiful.

Oh, yea, I guess I should have explained...a lot of those heros are from shared control...the most any teams really have are 3 (although there is one team with 4, but they are designed to be more of support army wise).
