these are by hydropix, one of the concept artists for that new prince of persia game. whichever one they're on now. these are fucking amazing. notice how he uses layer masks to apply texture. i miss my wacom now.

pretty damn amazing. I don't like using textures on paintings though, I like doing everything by hand. It's more satisfying.

heh, i'm getting classes on those techniques right now, they where originally texturing classes, but me and some of the other guys where more interested in how the guy that teaches us did his concept arts, and he uses a looot of sneaky tricks with textures, 3d modelling, you wouldnt believe the grazy shit he can make in like 15 minutes just by doing some sneaky shit :)

you damn bastard and your digital art classes! At school only digital stuff we do is 3ds max, but I know more about it than our teacher...and most of my buddies are against digital art. It's a rough world.
