A big part of pirate ships is that each team will be designated a country. ATM these countries are Britain, France, Spain and Holland. Here is the first of many prototypes. The big key here is the sail will change based on the country you are with. Also this is going to be VERY SMALL files not just reskinning 4 models but actually using geomerging to accomplish this look. Look for not only sail changes but actual boat changes as time goes by. Input is greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Why geomerge when you can use attachments? |

Well considering I just learned how to do what Im doing yesterday I may have missused the wrong term. What I did was remove the sails and an using the Sphere to attach them back. My goal is to have different colored sails and or other parts on each ship without having to redo the entire skin and thus save massive amounts of space. That's the best way to do it, although you may want to use an aura, as sphere plays a death animation when it attacks. Need any wholly custom ships? |

Also I was wondering how u can attach hero glow and get team colors without having 12 models? WHen I attach i get only red. ALSO was wondering if i could make any boat follow a death animation that i created as a seperate model. Here was what i was thinking.. I make a death animation that takes a unit and rolls it over like boats do and has some cool blow up shit.. The key is the unit that it rolls is very very small and not really anything but one plane. THEN on death i attach a unit to this model and i play the animation. Think it will work? My goal is to have no death animations to save space.... Plus a pic of the new skin and other stuff on the Orc Frigate! |

They're looking really nice, Rod. I might actually have a reason to try out the map, now, if for nothing else than the really nice looking ships. |

Trying to make a completely new ship! Playing around with oinks tools and some reskins on existing boats. I know its not perfect yet but its fun to do. |
