I don't know of a particular system for it, per se. What you could do if you have Photoshop, is just use the circle selection tool. Create a new layer, Create a small circle selection. Color it solid black. Hold down CTRL+SHFT and left-click drag the circle however far you want it to be to the right (I suggest having View>>Rulers on). Then repeat as necessary puting circles all the way across your drawing. Then select this first row, and CTRL+SHFT drag the whole row down to create the next line, etc. etc. If for some reason your version of PS makes each circle a new layer, keep merging them down into one layer (Layer>>Merge Down) When you're done, hold CTRL and click on that Layer in the Layers Palette (I think its CTRL). This should select all of the circles. If not for whatever reason you can always do Select>>Load Selection>>Layer Transparency (or something like that). Copy. (The selection of black circles). On the Layers Pallete, switch to Alpha Channels. Create New Channel. Paste. Go back to layers palette. Delete layer. Now you can go to Selection>>Load Selection>>"Alpha Channel You Just Made" and load that circle selection at any time. Use the circular gradient tool (or w/e) to color the circles however you want. Hope thats what your looking for... |
