Can anyone help me with this? I'm trying to figure out how to attack using an ability. For Example: I'm using wind walk. When i use wind walk I will do attack animation and this is the part I can't firgure out.. How to damage area infront of the unit using wind walk. I've tried some stuff but it still killed a person when I had my back turned... Can someone help?Ok then more understandable. I am using the arrow keys to move and the [W] HOTKEY for wind walk ability to shoot. I have an event set like this Event: When ability begins being cast Condition: Ability equel to wind walk Action: Unit-Damage Area-Cause (unit) to damage 100000 in 250 radius at position of (unit casting ability with offset. ( I don't know what to do at the offset part to make unit damage area 400 range in front of him) |

This question is difficult to understand. If you take a bit more time to explain in more detail what you are trying to do and possibly your approach to doing it so far, maybe someone can help you. |

Seems your trigger is going in the right direction. Let me clarify some terms for you, if you do not already know. If you already know, I am sorry. Radius - A circle (or a circle of 250 size in your case) Offset - Edited position of the circle. X - Horizontal Offset Y - Vertical Offset In short... Trigger: Unit - Cause (Triggering unit) to damage circular area after 0.00 seconds of radius 250.00 at ((Position of (Triggering unit)) offset by ((Facing of (Triggering unit)), ((Facing of (Triggering unit)) + 200.00))), dealing 100.00 damage of attack type Spells and damage type NormalIs the trigger you want. What you needed was the "Unit Facing Angle". |

Ok, I have it set exactly like that and it makes me get hit. (The Caster) When I use the trigger my person dies. Trigger: Unit - Cause (Triggering unit) to damage circular area after 0.00 seconds of radius 250.00 at ((Position of (Triggering unit)) offset by ((Facing of (Triggering unit)), ((Facing of (Triggering unit)) + 200.00))), dealing 99999.00 damage of attack type Spells and damage type Normal PS: UPDATED! I just figured it out at 12:56 a.m. It is backwards. Its offset by ((Facing of (Triggering unit +400)), ((Facing of (Triggering unit)) I added a 200 to make sure i dont shoot myself. Thanks for the help on that. |
