Story In ages past, before the second invasion of the Burning Legion, before the coming of the Orcish Hordes and the Tides of Darkness, the dwarves lived in their secluded mountains of Dun Morogh. Through many years, they gathered treasures, knowledge and mastered the art of blacksmithing and stone crafting, as well as many other valuable traits. Under their great home of Ironforge Mountain, they prospered. The High King, Modimus Anvilmar, was growing older however, and the dwarves under the mountain realized he one day, not too long from now, would indeed die. There were three factions, three clans, who all claimed the throne of the High King. The Bronzebeard Clan, traditional defenders and champions of the city, the Dark Iron Clan, sorcerers and wizards, who dwelled deep into the rock, and at last the Wildhammer Clan, shamanistic hunters and warriors living of the peaks and vales of Khaz Modan. These three forces smashed together in a war that begun under the snow covered roof of Ironforge and ended with the charred remains of the Redridge mountains, and the summoning of Ragnaros the Firelord. This project is an attempt to make a Warcraft 3 campaign about these events. You will play as the strong Bronzebeards, safeguarding your city, as the proud Wildhammers, founding a new sanctuary, and as the vile Dark Irons summoning the Lord of Flame. Campaign Outline, some of it has and will be changed. Bronzebeards Map 1 - Under a Restless Mountain After the death of High King Anvilmar, the Bronzebeard clan, who stood closest to the king has to secure Ironforge from the Wildhammers and the Darkirons in order to claim the upper hand. You have to rally your followers and secure as much of the ancient city as possible. Darkirons would strike from inside and Wildhammers try to fight through the gate. The map would be a three way AOS styled map, where you have to defeat the two other factions. Map 2 - Strike While the Iron Is Hot You have established control over most of Ironforge, and has to make the final push, getting the enemy out of the city altogether. Map 3 - Into the Wild Now Ironforge is safe, but the surroundings still hold the enemy. You have to establish a stronghold in Dun Morogh, and crush anyone who may try to sabotage your mission. Hostiles are mostly Darkirons Map 4 - Crack the Hammer Even though the Darkiron threat has been pushed south, the Wildhammers still remain in the hills, skirmishing your Bronzebeards. You have to protect your people, and push the ruffians out of Dun Morogh, through Dun Algaz to the north. Wildhammers as enemies. Wildhammers Map 1 - Flight of the Wildhammer Banished from your ancient home, you have to travel through the uncharted territory in the north. See your way through the wetlands safely. There are murlocs and crokolisks in the swamp, while gnoll and kobold bandits and robbers lurk in the hills. Map 2 - Beyond the New Frontier In the mountains to the east, the Wildhammers find what they seek. In the beautiful mountains to the east, they found the stronghold of Grim Batol. This is watched by unkind eyes though, as there are already a Darkiron expedition in the area. Your duty is clear. (my least favorite mission) Interlude The Darkirons report of your exploits in the wetlands, as well as the Bronzebeards reconstruction of Ironforge, and king Thaurissan, who has settled in the Redridge mountains decides that he wants to claim all of Khaz Modan. Thus, he begin to form an army in order to assault at the two strongholds. Map 3 - The Battle of Grim Batol For years, Wildhammers have prospered in their hold, building up their treasures again. The relation with the Bronzebeard is also cooling of, and the two factions have gone into a standstill. In he middle of this, the Darkiron jumps at you. (I’ve got some awesome ideas for terrain design on this one.) The sorceress queen Modgud leads the Darkirons, and you have to fight her, pulling backwards as slowly as possible, barricade after barricade. Map 4 - Of Shadows and Dust. Now Modgud is at the gates, besieging the Grim Batol itself. You hold out well though, but the queen has more than just the strength of her soldiers. She casts spells, striking fear into warriors of the Wildhammer. At last, the gate gives in, and now Modgud herself steps forth, challenging king Khardros. The Wildhammer is victorious, and his breaks the assault. The Darkiron flee south, with the previous defenders at their necks. Darkirons Map 1 As Modgud strikes at Grim Batol, her husband, King Thaurissan goes to Dun Morogh, and fight through the outer defenses, who were unprepared for such a immediate attack. You have to slay anyone on your way to Ironforge. Map 2 As the warriors and wizards of Thaurissan line up before the main gate of Ironforge, the soldiers of the Bronzebeards march out, and from the sides, the reinforcements arrive. The assault would have succeeded if only the aid had come one hour later, but now, the king has to rally as many of his followers as possible, and head south again. Interlude The runner from Khardros arrives, asking for help against the siege on their hold. King Madoran Bronzebeard agrees, and march north. On the way however, he actually meet the Darkirons he sought to surprise, and they are crushed between both Wildhammers and Bronzebeards. Together, they turn south, to end the Darkirons reign once and for all. Map 3 In the Redridge mountains though, Thaurissan has learned they are approaching, and dispose a taskforce to take care of any forerunners or scouts that may be in the area. Map 4 Meanwhile, in the depths of the Darkiron’s city Thaurissan (named after the king.) The arcane power of the casters are forming a portal into another world. A world of fire. Thaurissan has stricken a pact with one of the most terrible creatures of all. Ragnaros the Firelord has decided to aid him. The two armies of the north, however, make their attempts to stop him from coming through. Defend the portal for enough time. Camel's, the last WH map is called Of Shadows and Dust. Now, what was I supposed to post here? The new DI campaign? Oh well, so far, this is done: Map 1 - Flash of the Blade The Dark Iron Clan is initiating their attack, sending in a group of smaller teams in order to sabotage the Bronzebeard waar machine. One of these missions consist of closing the southern area's communication system. Great fun. Now, why did I post this? |

MC: Looks pretty good, though you might edit the grasses a bit, darken them a bit, they blink out a little bit too much. Besides that, look good, keep it up :) Camels_hump: thats not a bad ironforge only a bit too bumpy, try to use the deform a bit less, atleast not so often, a city like ironforge mainly is flat in deform, just a few here and there. |
