I need a simple statue model of the Beastmaster.

What would it take to get a simple model of the Beastmaster with no animation on him? I have a spell that is supposed to morph him into a sort of Stone Form like the Gargoyle. So the morphed version of himself just needs to be a little larger and either tinted almost to black or with a stone texture on him, perhaps with a firey particle emitter around him because he will have Imolation in this stone form, and otherwise no movement on him while he is standing.

If it can be done with just .mdl editing I would like to know. If it requires some editng in gmax or whatever could somebody kindly make it for me?

You could probably just trigger him being frozen; just set his animation speed to zero.

To make him look like stone, just modify the skin (similar to what was done by Blizzard with the Avatar spell). Here's a tutorial on photoshopping things into stone:

Use Oinkerwinkle's Vertex Modifier to merge all the geosets into one static one, then save it. Do a little tweakage on the header etc, and you've got a static bloke. Problem with that is, you don't get him posed; you'd have to twiddle him directly in Vertex Modifier.

Thanks Vuen, I totally could not see that action to change unit animation speed! Even when you said it was there it took me forever to see it. I think I will trigger it then.

Or you could have done what rdz said, or (im not sure if it would work) you could pic a certain frame and make the stand animation run between say 3333 and 3334 and then delete the rest of the animations.

Tim.
Was this post really needed? It is two weeks after the problem was solved.
