The New Race Mod project site has now released a new version of the new race mod! Version 2.7 fixes some bugs, adds a new spell and loads of skins. It is also more balanced and there are new scorescreens as well. Yet there is more, if you order today.. ehm I mean download today you get battle.net support too. Go to the New Race Mod Website and check it out. ;) Edit: Well many asked how to get the battle.net working so i'll post the readme here ;) ---THIS ONLY WORKS ON WINDOWS XP!--- (if you want to make it work on Win98 then mail me and i'll explain it for you, it has to do with the reg file i made, and it's only XP compatible.) After contacting a guy called LordThrend he said that he could host me a New Race Mod battle.net server! Anyway, this is only one computer so it may be slow if too many is on the server at the same time. (The reg file works only for XP) Ok to use the battle.net server simply run the NRMBattlenet.reg file that is in the New Race Mod folder in the warcraft 3 folder. Now make a shortcut for the warcraft III.exe that is in your new race mod folder. On the end of that shortcut simply insert the line: -pvpgn This should make the shortcut look somthing like this(depending on where you have it installed): "C:\Games\Warcraft III\New Race Mod\Warcraft III.exe" -pvpgn Now run the shortcut, then select the battle.net gateway "New Race Mod (France)" and enter. (you have to make a new account) To play simply use the custom game feature and select a normal map and play! You should know the rest. :D Happy gaming! |
