(10) Escape New York 0.83 Beta

Hello, this is the long awaited for sequel to escape London. Since I am playing on The US east server now, I decided to make a new york escape map.

It doesn't insult the Americans too much so feel free to download it, yank or not, without fear of mental breakdown (whoa, an added bonus!)

I worked long and hard on this, so have fun. Btw, the map preview was a joke.

I really need feedback, so PLEASE write reviews!!!

Oh, and btw, the silly map previews are just a long running joke of mine. I am brilliant at art, but I choose to instead do it cos it looks funny, so goes with my map. Check out the hero names!

There are currently two normal sized levels, and the third level is 1 big level with a revive checkpoint stuck in the middle. The maze is quite hard, but not impossible.

For a secret, type the following in game (works with all players):
-callex is a _ _ _ _


I am enjoying my stay on the US east server, there are not as many noobs as on the europion server, and most American's are good sports, and tend not to swear at me if I win in a game vs one. Remember, though, that all four servers have both noobs and pros alike.

But not because of the jokes in the map; because its so terrible. Sorry im not even testing this, ill go with infrane on this one. Dissapproved.

I do not approve. Terrain is horrid, there is inconsistency with aloc'd units, the few custom models are horrible and do not match the tileset, and the game is not really fun.

Lol, ok, I have taken in your points. And, this is a very elitist website. I will change map preview, i'll do proper terain, and will remove the building models and find some better ones. I might add a park area as well. Maybe then it will be good enough.

I understand that having a funny but very stupid looking picture on the frnt page of your very neat, organised website will be inapropriate.

Hopefully once I take mesures to bring my map up to standard then you will accept it.



The upside down camera for end of elvel 3 is on purpous and is one of my favourite things in the map, it ain't ganna change.

Just asking - why? Because it's hard...? Difficult to get your bearings...? That would be the point, I believe.

No, just because what I said, it brings down the gameplay. Its like.. if blizzard would make a unit that could cast a spell that would freeze the opponents camera, it makes it harder, but it kinda fucks up the game, making it no fun.

anygame that has the name of a unit "this guy is a cunt" should be banned immidiatly

All the names of the units should be changed, in fact.

James, its not that we think all jokes are low quality and not worth showing on the website. But look at your own picture: Its like a google picture with some text written in paint on it. If you used a similar picture, and managed to change the entire text to say "Don't Walk on the grey tiles" THEN it would not only be fun, it would also be high quality.

That being said, I'm seriously considering outlawing abusive language in maps here. I don't want to, because some people can use it in a mature and appropriate fashion, but this wonderful little creation is a pretty strong argument for censorship...

Then show us by making a professional Map Preview. And what is it with every "maze" style map having the hero names profanities? It makes no sense to me.
