EON Eon is a king of the hill map. To win you must controll the center of the map. The special thing about EON is that you bind spells meaning you use 1 of 4 aspect spells (hero spells), when you use one of those you get an item in your inventory that shows which spell you have channeled. When your done chosing aspects press the bind aspect spell to create a item spell in your inventory. This may sound difficult, but most people learn how it works the first minute in game. Here is the latest version of the game. //rutten_ko |

I told you to change the logo :) Well this will be getting my approval in the end, but I'll write a review first. I have been testing this for a few weeks so I know what to expect. |

I just played the map and if I were one of the reviewers I would say it should get aproved besides the fact that your loadingscreen is kinda odd. Listing gaddens name but not your own and you are telling people to whisper you for bug reports :p Anyways the abilty system stuff was easy to understand and was fun, that was the maps biggest plus. It had some things being imbalanced such as healing wave, I just stood and healed my teammate all the time and we were invincible :P The terrain was kinda bad but in this sort of map it really doesent matter. Overall it was good, it gets my aproval for sure :) |

I guess his name just sucks, so he listed mine instead :D Ill write a review now: * All heroes are basically the same. There is one exception, the pitlord, but he has the same stats only slightly more damage and a melee attack. You should be able to choose which style to play. * The king of the hill system could be replaced with something more fun. Now its more like a team arena where you just kill the enemy team for 15 min. Instead, you could make it some kind of CTF or "attacker vs defender" game. * Some spells are unbalanced. Healing wave is a good example: Yes, chain lightning is the counterpart and has the same damage. But healing is allways better than damage. * The terrain could use a whole new theme. Im basically saying this to myself, since i was the terrainer. * Full visiblity could be removed. Now everyone sees everyone and its all about dishing out the most damage. I think it would be more fun to move as a group and scout for the enemy team. * The item cooldown! I hate it and i allways had (and i told you so many times, rutten). When you cast a spell, the item stays in your inventory for a VERY long duration. This is made to let the spell finish its casting before removal, but there are many ways to fix this. For example, you could use only spells with shorter casting time than 1 second. Or, the channeled spells (such as blizzard) could be simulated by hidden casters. * The hotkeys. You channel aspects by pressing z,x,c and v (lower left side of the keyboard) and then cast the spell by pressing numpad 7 (upper right side of the keyboard). I know the item slots hotkeys cant be changed, but you dont have to use items. You could simply add the spell to the hero. * Too little normal damage. Now its ALL about spellcasting, and range doesnt matter since everyones ranged heroes with ranged spells. Warrior-heroes with high health and armor, rogue-heroes with low health and high melee damage etc. would be alot more fun than "ranged heroes with low damage and hella lots of mana". I know its a spellcaster map, but i still think the heroes should be different (I know im repeating myself). However, i like the map (mostly because its a very fun, new gameplay idea) and it gets my approval as it is. |

Tryied the map. I think this sums up the maps biggest problems nicely, couldnt have said it better myself. I agree with everything on it, but my conclusion is that i dont like the map because of those reasons listed there. The map just isnt fun to play in my oppinion. |

Rutten has allmost finished a new version which covers basically all those problems. I tried it yesterday, but there was a bug that made the map unplayable, so we'll have to try it again tonight. |

Im have nearly finished the new version. The new version includes: * A new game mode; Hold the staff. The team wich teammember holds the staff gets a point every 3d second and first to a hundred wins. The one that holds the staff can only do 2 aspect combinations meaning that he cannot do the pure damage spells, the staff also gives a mana regeneration aura to nearby units. * Hero selection. You may now select a hero and every hero has their own ability that is stronger than the rest, For example; a Blood mage's Flame Strike deals 60 damage over 3 seconds, the normal flame strike deals 45 damage over 3 seconds. *Gadden also fixed a new terrain. |
