Initially i thought it was upside down, thus rendering any opinion of mine void on the basis of idiocy. |

lol actually everyone i've ever shown it to thought it was upside down due to the grass on the bottom and that i never got around to adding leaves near the top |

O.O that is very cool. |
| 04-23-2006, 08:17 AM | #5 |
O.O that is oversmudge. |
| 04-23-2006, 08:26 AM | #6 |
stop fucking judging stuff on weather people used smudge or not, the grass is the only area where i used much smudge, and i was focusing more on the tree and the bark than the grass |

Just wait till erwt gets to see this *gg* And anyway, many spots are too blurred compared to the rest, especially the edges. The Grass also looks like it grows on the tree and not on the ground. And the grass itself... (no comment)... |

![]() Sam says NO to SMUDGE! dude its not that we are trying to kill everything that is done with smudge or judge drawings solely on weither smudge is used or not: Simple fact is though, that i havnt seen good sudge, becouse there is no such thing. Smudge always sucks. Without Exceptions. It walways looks bad. You grass could have looked better if it was done with a brush. Also i feel that smudge is lazy. It suppresses artists, its a verry limited tool that give you an acceptable result reather quickly, but it will never be as good as when you brush it. Simply said: if you keep using smudge, you will not get better. The tree looks interesting though. There are some places on it that are terribly blurred, and i could advice you to ditch the white background (bad for your eyes AND work). I would also suggest you to look more at trees, the branch forming is really odd up there. |

Regardless, the tree looks quite nice. Reminds me of the smudge equilevant in corel painter, loaded tool or whatever it's called. Rep given! |

think you are ever so clever quoting me from wc3s? that shit is ancient, i didnt know better back then. Its like, over a year old. I havnt touched smudge in a looong time becouse i know it fucks shit up and makes stuff look ugly. As for disliking my own skins, is it really that much of a suprise to you that i would dislike my old work? Really, dude, if you are going to go through as much throuble as actually quoting me from another forum, at least make sure its up to date, and not ancient history. |
