I'm creating a hero siege where, in order to cast spells, the player has to say a chat message containing the spell. (Incidentally, all the spells are written in Latin; e.g. "Fire Blast" > "Igneus Prolixus" Yeah, I know it'll be unpopular, but it's something I've always wanted to make. Anyway, each spell consists of three componants; the element, the type, and a modifier. I'd like ideas for spell modifiers I could use. So far, I have: Inflictum (Damage), which deals bonus damage to the spell's target. Navitas (Energy), which makes the spell cost less mana. Ligo (Binding), which stuns the spell's target for five seconds. Can anyone come up with any other ideas? |

If a spell requires channeling, you can have a modifier to quicken the casting. You can alter the number of targets. You can make it effect AoE instead of a single target, or do a wave, or in other ways change the shape of the spell. |

No, because they're all functions of the Type; Blast, Strike, Lance, w/e. And I don't have any channeling spells at all... Thanks for trying though. |

Expend (I'll leave the latin to you) Extra mana cost, bonus damage. Less mana efficient, but considerably more damage. Drain Health cost, replacing some/all of the mana cost. Absorb Life steal effect. |

Hmmm. The health cost I had considered, I must admit... Life/Mana draining... I could, but I'd rather not. I just don't think it'd be very appropriate. Thanks though. Minuo (Blood), which converts 100% of the spell's mana cost to life cost instead. |
