Getting rid of those spell effects

For a few days now I've tried to create an effect that procs on attack, rendering them unable to move but able to rotate/attack freely (essentially, disallowing them to flee from combat, a sort of "honor binding" if one will.) Naturally, since this effect is applied to the target of every melee attack, I want it to have no spell effect and lack a sound effect.

My first attempt was with a 100% proc Orb of Slow and its corresponding effect, which did nothing for me. Even when the all the "Sound" and "Art" fields were empty I still got that annoying slow effect and the weird yellow graphic around the target. I then tried the same thing with a Slow Poison/Assassin's Blade knockoff to no avail. I couldn't even get the Buff to go away (AFTER removing it from the list in the object editor.)

How do I get rid of those pesky spell effects/sounds? This is driving me nuts.

Well, you can use freely the orb of slow! You just need to change the object ability Slow (Orb), to which the orb of slow refers, setting the movement slow to 100% (the unit cannot move no more) and the attack speed to 0% (so the unit can still attack). To remove the sound/art effects, just edit the Slow buff, under the buff section (the slow buff is human) deleting the target effect (or adding a new one) or moreover you can create a new buff with the arts that you want.

Oh snap! Orb of Slow was actually the first thing I tried, and frankly I don't know how I missed "Art - Target" for the buff...Incidentally, removing that removed the sound effect too. Weiiiird. o_O

But I still don't understand why Slow Poison always has that buff applied...Well, on to my next question, which shall arise when the time comes.

The sound is part of the model, not the spell. The Slow effect plays that sound on it's birth animation.

And to remove the buff effect from slow poison, replace each of the 2 buffs (Slow Poison - Stacking and Non-Stacking) with a modded slow poison buff that doesn't have the art field.
