I have two problems: First, my flying unit casts a spell and the art for the spell originates from the ground below its feet? At first I thought it was that the model I was using was cheap, but a flying version of the blood mage does the same thing. Even when I trigger the spell it starts at the ground (0) and if i target a point it shoots level with the ground not even at 66 (the Z offset for projectile launch). Am I doing something wrong? Second: I know I can get the spell (base carrion swarm) to shoot upwards by targeting an air unit (which can't be done via GUI interface triggers *bull*). But the base spell can only target a point and don't know if you can set a Z-offset for the target point.(JASS maybe?) |

The reason it originates from the bottom (i think) is that the spell originates form the origin which is there. Try testing this with a unit with "flying" model, like a hipogryph. If it still doesn't work, I don't know why. If it does, then you are gonna have change the location of the origin attachment point of your bloodmage. |

It still doesn't work. I'm not sure if i have ever seen a air unit cast a projectile spell before, i certainly would have noticed. Has anyone ever seen it? (Besides orb effects and spells that enhance ranged attacks) |
