Hello, I was looking around in the terrain forum, and I noticed alot of good work. To be honest, I was blown away. I was wondering, would anyone (experienced) be willing to help me out? My map, Tropical Tag features good terrain currently. But, I feel that someone very experienced/skillful could transform it into terrain that would blow the mind. If you want more information about the map, please go here: http://www.wc3campaigns.net/showthread.php?t=81923 I hope you guys consider this request. Proper credit will be given to whoever helps. Thanks in advance for reading this. Karawasa |

I really should warn ya, great terrain and playable terrain are two seperate things. You can make really impresive terrain, at expense of gameplay, but thats not advisable. IMHO you just need a few new tropic doodads, thats all. |

Why do you say at the expense of gameplay? Do you mean increased lag? Provided that the land structures strategic values are kept mostly the same, diff doodads, tile use, use of custom doodads etc. could enhance the look without affecting movement or building in areas too much. |

As in it's hard to make pathing still easy to play in, while making it look nice. Also terrain shots generally use special camera angles to make the terrain look even better. From the normal game cam even the most detailed sexed up terrain can look dull. |

As I said in the other tropical tag thread, I think its very pretty and perfectly playable. The tropical animals were a nice addition and the tileset is perfect. I don't see the need for you to improve it much at all. |

Thank you guys, I am glad you like the terrain. I agree, the terrain is very good, but I feel there are like 2 weak areas that could use touching up. I hear what you are saying Tim. and I guess I shouldn't be so ambitious as to redo the whole terrain. In light of that, I am only going to try and get two areas touched up. |

Which areas need touching up? Post some screens of them |

Agreed, and I hate blizzards fire doodad.....ughh...so messy... : P The others I think are fine, especially for a map of this type, leaves the room to build your base right? And who likes a bunch of trees restricting their buildings eh? |
