The Un-White Footman (WIP)

I got the idea when I looked at the horrid Blizzard one, I mean, it's bloody white! I thought that I could aswell practise skinning, and maybe even make something useful. So it turned out as this (I personally HATES the unwrap >_<). I did not make the lion on his chest, I copied it from the Azerothian flag. Comments are greatly appreciated.

Blurry.

The helm is very sharply done, but the rest of the armour isn't.

I dont even see the "lion" All I see on the chest is a blur. The rest of the skin looks flat and blurred. If I were you I'd get somebody to do a simple model edit and remove the spike on the shield and then skin the lion on there, it would be more obvious and look better.

this seems to add nothing to the existing footman skin at all, all it did is make it less attractive due to before mentioned problems.

So instead of being shiny metal he's now matte... Cardboard?

This might be beneficial if you are attempting to make the metal more metal-ish.

Then again, the head looks like that because blizz has got an extremly big unwrap on it, the blur is not that blurry at all mr Dominant Male man and Fonix-san, except for the boots, my boots are horrid. And my legs. o_o
And the last time I tried to follow one of those tutorials it turned out as Leathary Jaina. =p

From that picture it doesn't seem like it's any less blurry.

That's the size of the skin. What did you expect? Jumbo sized Jumbo_Pie textures? The brush I worked with was almost as big as one of those bolts there.

I use brush sizes between 1 and 3 for detail.

Please post WIPS in the texture WIP forum, not in the gallery.
