I've bin seeing some threads that ask about a free sound editing program. So I decided to start this thread. If you need a basic sound editor to edit wav files. Just go here (and most windows computers should have it) Start button/All Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/Sound Recorder. This isn't a very advanced recorder, but it has some basic features such as increasing/ decreasing volume, reversing, recording (and you can record any sounds being played on your computer without a mic). You can also save in a variety of formats. Including mpeg layer 3 (mp3). It may still seem like a wav file, but to play it as music, after importing the sound, just change the custom path name with .mp3 at the end, then it can be used in music triggers. The number of formats and the quality of the mp3 formats it can be saved as can vary from computer to computer. But if you just need to make some basic adjustments. You can use this.
