RPG camera position opinions

I'm just wondering, what type of camera on RPG's do you guys like most out of 3rd person view, normal view, and normal but locked-on-the-hero view?

Make it changable by a text command.

Under no circumstances should the camera be locked to the hero. That's so annoying that it's not even funny.
