Hey people.. im not really sure whether my questions are covered in any parts of the forum. I have some really .. erm basics questions (im not afraid of flames/insults cause all i want is to learn more) to ask: 1) Im making a TD.. and as you know some solo TD, they have the same terrain at everyone's building tower's terrain. How can i make them identical? or clone the place on the minimap? For example: Minimap: l (1) (2) (3) l l (4) (5) (6) l l (7) (8) (9) l The numbers are the places where players will build their towers. If i have completed base 1, how do i copy it and paste it at base 2,3 4,5,6,7,8 and 9? 2) How do i erase something that i have placed down? Ctrl + Z only removes the last unit that i placed. 3) For the starting location, everytime i start a game, there will be an orc's town hall (or whatever you call it) and 5 peons will appear beside it, how do i change the town hall to nothing? and remove the 5 peons? 4) Anyone have a good TD (unprotected) for reference? I really need help here. I've been puzzling over the WE for a few weeks and i havent produced something good. My questions may be too much .. but .. please help me for my sake of learning.. |

select terrain layer so you are working on it, then make sure all tools for terrain like apply texture, apply cliff, and apply height are off. Next click and drag on the terrain (like you do on your desktop to highlight multiple icons), as you drag the mouse across the terrain you'll see a green box(which is the terrain you are selecting) after you select the terrain go to Edit -> Copy after that go to Edit -> Paste then you'll see a green box following around you're mouse pointer(this is the area which you'll be pasting the terrain that you just copied. once you have it where you wish to paste the terrain, just click. I suggest creating a blank map and play around with it on there before attempting it on you're TD so you don't risk messing up your terrain. |

if you which to copy doodads do pretty much the same thing except be on the doodad layer without any doodad select, if you have one selected press Space Bar then select all doodads you wish to copy then copy and paste them, but instead of seeing a green box showing terrain you'll instead see a transparent version of all the doodads that will be pasted and the location which they'll be pasted at.
