Why aren't there any Frost Wyrms in World of Warcraft? |
| 05-06-2006, 06:34 PM | #2 |
Because: - Frostwyrms are dragons that went to an ancient dragon graveyard in Northrend to die. When Ner'zhul came to power, he rose those dragons as frost wyrms. - The main undead race is forsaken, and sicne they do not have sufficient powers to raise dragons (never mind the corpses themselves), they would not hae any. - It is unlikely Kel'thuzad would have any frost wyrms in his stronghold. They are creatures of ice and death, found mainly in scourge strongholds in Northrend. Kel'thuzad mainly commands a large amount of ghouls and acolytes. - Frost Wyrms are of far greater power than you can see in-game, they require great powers of necromancy to raise, thus they would not be seen in places such as Lordaeron. - The only place that would really have Frost Wyrms is Northrend and you cant reach Northrend as of yet |

I don't think frost wyrms can compare to C'Thun in power Taur. |

Exactly, Frost Wyrms aren't too powerful, they're just elsewhere. |

anyways they are powerful, dragons themselves are one of the most powerful, magically inate creatures in Azeroth. And as a rule, well summoned creatures of the dead usually possess greater stamina and endurance than thier living counter parts. And while they do not retain thier titan-given magical powers, they do have the cold frost energies of the grave. They do require great powers of necromancy to raise, I'm rather sure that only Ner'zhul would be able to get away with raising an entire dragon back from the dead. |

Why doesn't the Lich King send some to protect the plaguelands? |

Why hasnt he sent an entire force to do so? |

Very interesting... Maybe Blizzard never thought of it that far. |

I doubt there are thousands of frost wyrms to start with. |

Vig0r's right. Dragons live... 10000+ years? (Although the game makes dragons look like nothing) |

The Lich King is more concerned with turning Northrend into a continental fortress than taking over. |

Ah, thank you Whitehorn, I needed that map Anywho, why should there be Frostwyrms in World of Warcraft? They're the Lich King's top units basically, he'd have them around Northrend where they can focus on important things, like protecting his territory from attacks, or rooting out the native creatures |

true, but if it wasn't wow and just that time period i bet ya there would be lots of the in the plaguelands. |
