Problems with fileConverter

I've been having some problems recently with Yogbul's file Converter, and was wondering if mine was an isolated issue.

Over the past week or so, out of nowhere, the File converter has been refusing to convert MDX<>MDL, giving me an error saying it can't recognize the file format every time.

I have had the file Converter in a separate directory with the old pre-patch WarCraft III files for some time, and it's only recently, without any changes to the files in that folder, that the issue has occured.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

I know what you mean. OPen up the converter. Then click on the drop menu and select mdl, then select mdx. Its a weird problem, but I got it too.

Nope, that had absolutely no effect. This problem is only recently. I was having no problems whatsoever like 2 weeks ago, and nothing has changed.

See, this is why I asked... it WORKED 2 or 3 weeks ago when i edited the Infernals, converting their particle emitters from green to red.

It doesn't work now though... changing what is selected in the drop-down does absolutely nothing, I still get the Error poppping up of Unknown File format... as if the converter suddenly forgot how to open the files. Except that's impossible becaus ei'm running it from exactly where I had before

What are you running? XP, ME, what? Something about my XP ive noticed is that sometimes files will revert and break down, not working right anymore. This only happens for a few files though, such as different file converters. But check and make sure that you didnt move a file or delete something you need. It might just be best to dl it again and see if it works better.

Nope, running Windows 2000 w/SP3.

I've tried downlaoding it again, but that didn't help. It just quite suddenly stopped working.

Does anyone know what files it uses outside of the WarCraft III directory? Runtime files, etc.?

Well, I'm not sure what caused the problem, but I've got it working again.

Go figure.
