As the title suggests, I'm having some trouble with my portrait animations. I was curious if there were specific names that need to be used for the animations to wrk properly. the problem I'm having is that the "Talk" animation doesnt always play when I give an order or select the unit, and some of my other animations stop halfway through and start one of the others. This is quite annoying, and I was curious if there was some sort of solution. Also while I have your attention, I also would like to know how I could set the rarity of animations in 3DsMax, I'd rather do that than open the MDL, and I'm pretty sure it's possible. Thanks in advance for your time. |

did you actualy bother to read the Art Tools documentation? all that you need is in there. I'll shorten the task for you now, but make sure to search in the documentation before asking for help. All portrait animations must start with "Portrait". The stand animation for the portrait must be named just "Portrait" and the variations "Portrait 1", "Portrait 2",..."Portrait n". The talk anim must be named "Portrait Talk" and again you can use variations for that, just like for "Portrait" anim. As for the rarity, select the notes that determine an animation and under the title write "Rarity x". For example: Code:
"Stand - 4" Rarity 3 |

And a higher number means it happens less, correct? As for the names, I have them set to those you said, but I'll take a look, maybe I've done a little thing wrong. |

yes, the higher the rarity number the less often will an animation be displayed. |
