Now, a new piece of crap : ![]() This was done for my website (under construction), as some sort of personal logo. It is an engraving of Elgenor, the legendary silver eagle from the myth of the Aeldors (Elgenor litterally means 'silver eagle'). Elgenor Stormsen (or Stersen, as it figures on some files) was named after this mythical creature. Many Aeldors bear this name, afterall... The rune on the top is the symbol of the Origin, and the one on the heart is the rune of the Continuity. You can read on the string that eagle holds "Comprehendere Ad Regendum", which means, basically, "understanding brings control". It is supposed to be viewed at a much smaller scale than here (two times smaller), therefore it's still loose, crappy and undetailled. |

I hate how people always say that what they produce is bad, especially when it's really good. It is nice, probably even more when it's smaller like it should be. |

I scaled it down to 50%, and it looked very good, at 40% it was even better ;) I love how you made the eagle, just its legs seem a little weird to me. Can't wait to see it finished. |

it doesnt look like an eagle at all, but it does look quite nice. It could use a little better consitancy in hatching though, some of the feathers are not hatched but smoothly colored, wich makes them look a little awkward (tail). |

Latina facit me firmium. And isn't a more literal translation "To understand is to have reign over/upon"? Gah... english is so clumsy sometimes. :P I really like it, only part that kinda looks out of place is a bit of ribbon on the right side of the pic, the shading there seems a bit too dark. A little mellowing out of that dark area would probably make it fit better w/ the rest of the piece, or I could be shrooming, who knows? icbm1987 |

[quote=erwtenpeller]it doesnt look like an eagle at all, but it does look quite nice.QUOTE] Looks more like a phoenix than like an eagle, except for tail |

Course it doesn't look like and eagle, since I drew it from mind and I have barely any idea about how an actual eagle looks like. Thanks for the comments. |

You should post a smaller version for the lazy ones. Looks swell. :p |
