Making a smooth ground<=>air ascention.

So I have a unit on a map of mine that will be able to travel on the ground or in the air through a togglable ability; naturally, I used Druid of the Talon's Bird form morph as an ability, using the normal and morphed form units as two incarnations of the same, their only statistical difference being that one, of course, is flying.

BUT...when I use the ability itself, my unit simply snaps up/down to where it is heading. I understand there's no morph animation, but I was at least expecting some kind of progressive change of altitude. Is there a way to do this, through the Ability Editor, Triggers, or otherwise? Maybe there's something obvious that I'm yet again missing.

Anyone have an idea?

I think the field which you are looking for is:
Data - Altitude Adjustment Duration

Yours is probably set to 0, set it to 1 and it should be ok (assume it's not another Blizard mislabeling).

Thanks, but I actually tried that. :( First with the duration of 1, then, perhaps thinking it was something like a frame duration, setting it to 300, then to 0. No avail, unfortunately.

Just looked at an ability which has the same effect and does have the gradual raising. The only other field that could be relevant and that has a value greater than 0 is Stats - Duration - Normal (which is 1 in my instance). Worth a try.

(Incase that doesn't work, what morphing flags are you using?)

Changed the Normal duration to 1.00 and have tried a wide variety of flags, then and now, but still no help for me. )=

Your working experiment...what ability/units did it use?

Talons ascendance is a part of the morph animation. Can't you trigger it? (Setting unit flying height)

I don't think so; the unit which the working one I was referring to was on had the sorc model.

When you were helping me, what ability was your morph based off of?

EDIT: Wow, I feel like an idiot. It was because my Sorc's method of movement wasn't set to "Fly"...It was still at "Hover".
