you're on the right track, but use less saturated colors. If you'll spend some time on studying some real life colors, you'll notice that not even the most saturated red in real life is not realy that saturated. (I gaved red as an exaple, because for an unknown reason I was thinking at red when I was typing and didn't even noticed I typed it...)

haha... oh TDR, you and your realism.

He's right though, except the only really saturated red in nature is freshly oxegenated blood... which one doesn't see that often. It's actually really cool how the real world is so desaturated, and still looks so dang colorful.

It's like comparing WoW's visual style to that of Morrowind... WoW is much more cartoony and saturated, whereas Morrowind is far more realistic.

I really like this piece btw. It's quite visually appealing. :P

its on the right way, yeah, but it doesnt feel as a whole yet, try and incorperate some more of the skys hues into the landscape. Also, add some life to it, maybe some nomabds moving, a small townish thing, superman flying into the sun...

if that would actually be a comparison with a desaturated picture next to it, you would have a point there.

Nice, I really like the lighting. The green stuff to the left looks kinda like you forgot about it, though ;)
