Well FyreDaug is back in business again... this time Im merging my tower defence map and my aeon of strife gameplay map together into one game. And ofcourse updating things. I wanted to build something kinda new, but I didnt want to spend a whole lot of time designing terrain and ideas and stuff. Ill use this thread to post my info/progress on it, but so far this is how it works. 8 players, 2 teams. Not team based TD though, each player has a seperate path to "protect" You cant build in paths on this one either, just around them. So far there are 60 spawn levels, a couple bonus levels and a few bosses. The towers are heroes too, they level up, gain abilities etc. Quite useful multiboard too, keeps tracks of what tier you are on, how many towers, your upgrade levels, kills, leaks etc. td was partially inspired by blizzard TD back in the day, but I would still call this td unique. as for the aos I havent put a whole lot of time into porting it yet, but itll be like the old school aos before dota, but will use the same units from the td. Its pretty much hack and slash... also, theres over 300 items in the game, some are used for resources and some are functional, but its got a fairly generous list. For the doubters ive been war3ing for almost 4 years now, I know the ins and outs of the editor... plus before UMSWE became popular I had my own editor I made (and scio ported my info into UMSWE and I stopped updating mine) If any of the old schoolers are still here im saying hi... theres more names that this but this :wavey: goes out to DoCa-Cola berry2k weaaddar (sp) even though I know you hate me Scio The old admins Draco Darky etc, sorry if I missed the names, but if your from my time, im sure you know me too... anyways, I hope to have something playablke by the end of the month, ill keep ya posted ![]() edit: cant forget vexorian, panto, starcraftfreak, pitzermike, tim |

Vexorian, Panto, Starcraftfreak, PitzerMike and Tim are still around. weaaddar too, Berry2K is around, but mostly at the PR forums, afaik. xttocs is still active in the editing tools forum. Most of the rest have left, I think. Yes, this is a good place to be =). |

ofcourse pitzer is still around, WEU is still the shit. Well... about the map idea im doing, anyone think itll turn out? The td was quite unique, but the aos was pretty much my own version I made from scratch in the aos days... dota im sure has more customizable things and new skins and crap. I dont bother with that anymore, its gameplay I need, plus I dont have to worry about hiring skinners... (for now..?) |

only problem i have with the idea is that its a TD without mazing, wich is a shame, as mazing just adds so much more depth to any TD. |

Isn't the whole point of a mazing TD either to have fun trying wacky mazes, of to find the theoretical 'best' maze (and I don't see why that would make rebalancing necessary)? |

Jacek, dont remember the name.... have you changed it? blue da noob, thats true, it would take rebalancing if someone figured out the best one and owned everytime... I just didnt want to dick aorund with that, so its stays off the path |

Yo. Maybe I misunderstand, but all I see in this map is an AoS where you cant really attack and you're stuck in one lane... that or I'm not seeing much AoS here... Allthough, other thoughts on this lead me to think cool thoughts... |
