Aaah, the good ole Anti-Camp. What do we do with this fine piece of work? Every Tag map needs one, but their always so hard to implement properly. I think i may have hit on a proper way. Its quite simple, whenever a Naga comes near the center area, a timer goes off, if the Naga is still near the center area after 2 seconds or so, there is 1 or more dead fish and there are no fish near the center, the Anti-Camp does one of 3 things (or a combo!) Removes some gold Teleports to a random location and stuns Removes a random item Any one of those is a sufficient incentive to not hang around in the middle, if you did a combo of those i think i can guarantee that easy camping would be eliminated. The range would have to be big enough to ensure that the naga couldn't easily camp, but small enough that they couldn't wander in to it and stay there accidentally. Theres a few other concepts i can play with too. |

the no live fish being there is important to, cuz then fish would b able to camp... |

well I think the new rescue setup helps alot. where the rescuer and the rescued fish are teleported to a random spot. |

but makes it so u can only resQ 1 per run... |

Here is what I was thinking of changing it to: I placed the Fish start locations (Players 1-8) around the map so there are 4 in the corners and 4 in between the corners. Essentially, when you get saved you go to a random one of those. As for the saver, he doesn't get teleported anymore. All this does is make it so that if you get saved, you are not stuck right by the Jail to die again. I was thinking of making it ping where it teleports you as well. I think overall this is a nice buff to Fish as before you would get rescued and where right there by the Jail to die to any Naga that were coming. |

wait the rescuer isnt going to get teleported? that might actually be a good thing for the fish. cause he could rescue all the fish who would get speeded away and then just sacrifice himself. I found it very challenging to win in a game where i didnt have experienced naga . (one set of sentry wards isnt enough) I think we finally won at about 5 minutes left. With tannish in the game as well along with a decent naga. the game was won with 17 minutes left. the teleporting is definitely a good thing, as I havent managed any 2 minute wins in the new version. but if the rescuer can rescue all his buddies who all get teleported, especially when stasis wards never catch them. it might be a bit much even for us. (btw this game definitely has a bit of a learning curve, which is why all those fans of tree tag keep accusing it of being stacked for one side of the other, or worse yet acusing naga of using maphacks. But once people learn how to play it can be very fun) |

the reason it took so long is cuz u let that last guy live to rescue TWICE and ya, i think the current anticamps r good, but only in a big game.... |

No tan I'm talking about the game when you were the fish and I was the naga. |

I think you guys will like the new system. |

but rescuer will still die every time from campers |

Thats true sort of. Keep in mind that this is strictly a buff to Fish. Previously, Fish would just spawn at the Jail, only to die again. Now, when you get saved you have a fair chance to build up again. As for the rescuer, he is getting 25% gold bonus per Fish saved. Wisps can sleep and makes images to help. He also should have some abilities and such to aide his survival. Stocking up on items really helps. Staff of Silence is a godly item for survival. |

heh ok then. people are just gonna have to learn to play naga then. cause they're all ready complaining about how hard it is. the fish do decent. but we still get them in the end. Well if you do implement only the rescued being ported then i'll just have to make sure my partners buy wards as well. advanced warning is everything. |

well, a thing about the teleported thing is that sometimes people end up teleported right next to a naga, it sucks >< maybe like 3 sec unvuln? |

Well its not going to be random anymore. I placed the start locations around the edges of the map, 4 in the corners and 4 between them. It teleports you to a random one of those. Unless the Naga are camping them (which isnt possible they are too far apart) there is really no way you are going to be next to a Naga. Quote:
Well do you think Naga need a buff in someway? I am open to your thoughts on this. |

My only suggestion is take away ranged attacks from saving. It really pisses me off to see the damn dragons saving from the bottom of the ramp, its enough to make you scream. |
