How do I see how much a spell does damage?

Hey guys :)

I was wondering how to see how much a spell was dealing damage.. Is there any simpel way of doing that, or do you have to trigger every single spell + resistant differences?

Could use a generic damage system such as that what Vex made, would get the values at the time of damage of course, with armor/etc factored.
