From my point of view i must say it doesnt look much finish. But here is my comment: You start on drawing the lines too early, and is missing skeleton and structure of the figure. This will lead the figure to become imbalance (dunno the word). You need to draw the soft lines before trying to draw the figure, just "squeeze" alot of lines, dont care if they are wrong, just to get an image, then after that draw from the image. And also i dont see any reason why you show this picture, not to be harsh but this picture is far far far... and very far from finish. The face has some help-lines to draw a human head, but that is like about it :/ ---- But GJ on trying to learn btw :) |

My advice: be more loose with your sketching. Let the pencil lead flow... feel what you're drawing... the only time having a single smooth even line is important is in inking. From my perspective... his head looks a little lobsided... aaaand... you've started detailing a bit too early. I'd suggest that you make the general human head first... and the rest of the body... flesh out the general shapes Define the shapes of the body... Then start the detailing like the forehead thingy and the ears and stuff. Hope it helps. :P icbm1987 |

yeah...especially if you make a mouth drooling mordbid peice of twisted pain and blood... its a great way to show emotion and movement and makes a character come alive with emotions by the movement of your strokes. gee, thanks too icbm1987 it got me more thinkin after i was thinkin about that this mornin when i made a stiffy char. |

icbm and Werewulf have already said it, let it flow, don't think before you draw a line. |

you fanart guys are killing me. Aniway, watch out there 'cause you're allready making it inclined to the right (his left). First make a vertical line to use as reference and then the sketchy skeleton and bla bla bla... |
