Problem with Doodad variation

Ok here is my problem: I would really appreciate if somebody could help me out.

I imported some tree models in my map and placed them on some custom destructible doodad. Now I want to have more models on 1 doodad like normal tree walls have. When you place them they randomly variate.
I want to have my 2 different tree models on the same destructible doodad so they variate instead of having to place them all seperately.
What I tried was inserting different paths in the custom path of the custom destructible doodad: for example.

Art - Model File: path 1.mdl, path 2.mdl

Ends up it can't find the models O_o

Any help ^^?

I found this in wc3campaigns:

"To use a specific variant of a doodad model that has multiple variations, use the file path of the doodad, but add the variation number followed by .mdl at the end. The WE automatically adds these variations to the path when the doodad is set for multiple variations, but many other objects, like units, don't have support for multiple variations."

http://wc3campaigns.com/showthread.php?t=56334

It isn't completely clear to me: .mdl, do I have to change the entire file to mdl instead of mdx? I thought wc3 could only handle mdx O_o

Read the rules!!! Do not double post, or in this case quadruple post!
