Marketplace, is it magic?

How does the marketplace work? I mean, it sells random objects but it seems to have no abilities to do that ...

Look at Items sold. Those are the items sold.

Eh, this is the strange thing: in the marketplace that field is completely empty !

Woah your're right. Never looked at marketplace. Regardless, it probably uses built-in game code to randomly decide which items to sell. Its easy to imitate using triggers though.

The items get added to the market by triggers.
Dunno how blizzard does it in their melee maps, maybe there is some option somewhere that automaticlly adds all dropped items to the market.

Blizzard uses JASS for melee games' rules you know.

They are contained in blizzard.j and called by the GUI's "start melee rules" and that kind of initializers

In JASS.j they have a script that adds a items to all the marketplaces in the map depending on what creeps drop

Funny, a month or so ago there was a big discussion about this on MoMM. We concluded... nothing.

Yes blizzard uses jass... notice the tournament triggers... in tournaments after 25 minutes of game map is revealed and after 30 minutes game is called a draw. And yes marketplace does have dropped items.

can you display the jass function? I have seen it once, but atm I am unable to remember it's name. Thx.

Why would you want to alter what the Market Place sells.

I want to control [almost] everything in my map. So this is a part of it.
And I wanted to know the function of marketplace thing ,not of the tournament thing.
