BLEACH!

Every forum whatever its subject needs a anime fan - boi/girl/whore. Fanart of Bleach a cool manga series. This is for a lil contest at bleach7.com for the translation page of the scanlation team. The previous one wasn't great in my opinion so I hope I win this.

Anyways, I need ALOT of HELP for the kimono part. It's horrible. So is the sword and stuff... The only thing I like is Rukia's face (the girl) which was the thing I paid the most attention to. Suggestions, feedback, whateva you can say or do to help me plz do (deadline 1st june).

For the folks who know bleach, Ichi-Ruki 4eva !! I feel like a hyperactive schoolgirl... lol.

I dont like the girls chest/shoulder area. Otherwise good.

I'd like to know how I can improve that. The coloring on her chest area is bad but she's pretty flat chested in the manga too. And did you mean the coloring in that particular area is bad or the lineart / proportions?

I'm fucking grazy i did this, its allmost 3 a.m., i've been working with photoshop all goddamn week and i dont even really like bleach, but whatever.

Note that i did not make this with the original characters in mind, just with your piece.

Firstly, the main lines and anatomy of the characters i suppose. I painted it over with red lines to show some parts that bother me.

first up, our lads head. His ear is illogically placed, looks quite odd. Also, the hand holding the mask is drawn in an awkward angle. Look more into mirrors or just at your own hand from the right angle, trying to figure out how it works and how it should look. The pose of the guy is quite right, the only thing really bugging me there is that it looks a little flat still, and that his elbow seems a lot fatter then the rest of his arm.

Now for the girl, the general anatomy is appropriate. I would suggest showing a little bit of the ear, but that might just be me liking ears peeping through hair like that, turns me on. Secondly, its a fanart piece, show some cleavage there. Enlarge the boobs slightly if need be, but show the bastards. Besides that, i think the position of the hand coming out from under the kimono is a little bit awkward.



As for the girls head, i think her upper lip really needs that sex triangle that gives it a little bit more volume. Right now it allmost looks like she has no upper lip at all. Also, i think her nose should be moved just a little bit more upward.



Last but not least, the kimono part. pardon me for "opening" the kimono up in my overpaint, i just like to show teh panties. In your picture, you suggest there is wind. If that wind has any kind of strength, it should be blowing the komono onto her body, following its countours, you kinda failed to nail that important feat in your piece. Also, it doesnt wrap too nicely around the shoulders. HUmans are three dimentional, it will show that it goes up and around her shoulders. Maybe you could lower the cleavage on the kimono a little, showing some undergarments of any kind. This does not have to be sexual at all, just make it a little more interesting. A kimono is not the same as a bathrobe. The scarf around her waist seems uneffected by the wind, fix that. Also, the bottom side of her kimono should be effected by the wind. I scetched one interesting possubility for that to happen, but ofcourse there are lots of other dynamic ways that do not involve panties.

Also, i would suggest a hand on that sword... makes her look badass :P

Oh and i don't think you really need to rework it. It looks pretty cool that way. The anatomy, I mean. It's fine.
Otherwise, you should work harder on the coloring. Especially the clothes.

Lol, sorry Candy, I totally forgot. Anyways, I might have been sleepy and/or drowsy at the time, it looks a lot better that I look at it now. Anyways, Rukia has a bigger forehead, and her face is a lot more similar to that of a childs. She's also a lot shorter. As for zhe Ichi man, he needs to be angrier for me to recognize him. Another thing that might have thrown me off is that you draw very small pupils in the eyes of the characters, whilst they have big ones in the anime.

Anyways, as I said, it looks better when I look at it now.
