Ok I actually hate this posting format but it seems I have to do it anyway :/

Legends of Osaria
~ Thunder_Eye

Summary:
This is an huge singleplayer rpg using B2M's doodad pack, now you see why
it's huge. It also uses some model exports increasing the file size further
just to make that feeling of a new game.

Khan and Mani:
There are two ways to "cast spells". One is the way of Mani which is classified as "the good one". The other one is the way of Khan which is known as "the bad one".
Every living material has a spiritual energy (Chi) flowing through it. This is needed for our existence. If a object would loose all its Chi, it would almost immediately die.

Chi is constantly created and destroyed within each matter. By using Mani, you have a balanced energy flow from between you and the object. Therefore the object can regain it's Chi, and wont die out.
By using Khan, you instantly drain all of the objects spiritual energy, and as said above this will kill the object. And this is why most think Khan is a bad way to drain Chi.

The Words of Power:
Words of Power is the words which the magicians pronounce to release a spell. We know about 20 of them, who knows how many there are. The Words of Power are combined in different ways depending on what spell is used. A ball of fire for example would be "Vas Flam", Vas means Great and Flam means Fire/Flame.

Using:
Each Word are binded to a hotkey, to cast Fireball for example you would first press "B" for Vas, then "C" for Flam, when a word is spoken it will be displayed over the character so you can keep control on where you are. When the words have been combined they form a spell which you then have a few seconds to cast as you cant hold all the energy in you for to long. Containing Chi to cast a spell is very pressuring for the body.

Features:
- A equipment system holding 11 items and gives set bonuses

- A whole new casting type system
- A long and worked out storyline

This looks lovely.
Q: Will you be releasing maps as you go along, or will you wait untill you have finished the entire campaignand release it as one?

I will probably make the first part of the first main quest ;P
The first "quest" is a test from a old magician. The objective is the gather essence from 4 different elemental spirits. Air, Fire, Water, Earth.
I could almost make a whole book on just this part. But you'll have to wait until it's done.
I will try to get the first part done (Retrieving the Air Essence) and post that one.

The Cultist is a sect of "evil" warlocks that uses Khan.

This rpg will be the opposite to a hack'n'slash rpg. It will mostly about solving problems and stuff (kinda like Zelda). But ofcourse there will be fighting monsters and bosses, but it will be more advanced then the usual wc3 fighting.

Gates of Aldun (the SS's) is a gate into the city of Stera, the human capital. In the world of Osaria there are numerous races. The biggest ones are the trolls of Mirak, Orcs of Kesh, Humans of Eria and Dwarfs of Arumak.

There are also undeads in the game who were raised by the Cultist's in a graveyard crusade long ago. Therefore they arent really a civilization, more like slaves.

Yeah, only problem is the terraining and that each model takes like 1-2 hours to make. And that's if I'm lucky.

btw. anyone would choose low filesize over fitting models/better storyline?

Characters > Storyline > Gameplay > Style of graphics > Custom models > Download size

Note that characters are what hook people to an RPG, not storylines. You can't empathise with a storyline.

hmm ok, I'll be sure to not make it a "soloing rpg" then :P

- Me like. That's why I fell in love with Golden Sun, because it had a perfect balance between fighting|riddles. I still enjoy this game actually, but the riddles are getting a bit too easy, hehe. Well, I hope you can find some good ways of making entertaining and challenging puzzles and tasks.

This project might(will) die :(

It seems the maps cant load the models from the campaign import, If I cant find a way to fix this I wont be able to do this campaign.
(The models work if I import them directly into the map)

did u make this?
1-create a campaign (duh)
2-import to the campaign all the b2m data
3-add the map(s) to the campaign
4-save, close WE, openWE, open campaign and open map inside campaign

It MUST work in this way...

No it doesnt, I can load the game but the models just become green/purple boxes.

It works in WE.

EDIT: I tested exactly what you said. This time it doesnt show a box, this time it shows the normal model.
I changed a peasant to the B2M model, in WE it is the B2M, ingame it is the peasant -.-

EDIT2: Ok it actually were the same as before, when I set the model to a doodad it showed the box again.

here.. test it yourself and tell me if something is wrong

I tried this... dont know whats the problem... You seem to have all right but... Maybe a texture that is needed to show the model ingame? U should ask Born2Modificate,

I converted the model (Torhaus) to .mdl and checked the textures. I have all imported.
I will pm B2M

EDIT: Problem solved, I got some help from RDZ and now it works :D
