Warcraft III Worms (v3.0)

After already having created 2 versions of this map which both failed the fun part im gonna try it again: making worms in warcraft.

Summary:
For those of you unaware of the game: Worms is a turnbased fighting game where you fire all kinds of weapons at eachother. You must aim before you shoot, and after you shoot your turn is over.
The game is about killing your opponents first. You should do this by aiming very good and getting a good spot where you are hard to hit.

The difference with the original and my version is this:
In my version all worms aim at the same time, when u're done aiming you press fire. The one who presses fire the first gets on top of the firing list, the second as second etc. After everyone is done firing the weapons fire in the order just created. If you are hit during the shots before you, your turn is automaticly over, thus it is very important you aim quickly aswell as sharp. (credit goes to anitarf helping me work out this idea).

Team:
The current "team" consists of:
• iNfraNe: scripting, animating
• MaD[Lion]: modeling
• Anitarf: artist

All icons created in earlier versions will be reused. These were made by: Mara.Jade and Anitarf.

As can be seen the terrain is random each time the map is played, there are 4 posible tilesets:
• Barrens (shot1)
• Icecrown (shot2&3)
• Sunken Ruins
• Ashenvale

I am eager to create a version that will this time maybe even be fun, so suggestions are more than welcome.

8 Players.

It is no longer really turn based if you read the changes I made.

There will be ubersplats, thats for sure. However blowing up terrain would be very hard to make seeing you cannot have terrain over other terrain, so I guess not.

What about using terrain deformations (craters)??

This map sounds very good =)

Iknow, but the problem is that when you use them on a slope it will look funny (ithink) but I can try.

Grenade
Cluster Bomb
Land mine
Uzi
Long bow
Teleport
Punch
Molotov Cocktail
Dynamite
Toxic smoke

Super
Airstrike
Supersheep
Nuke
Holy grenade
flame thrower

These weapons were in the previous version, but im open for suggestions (I dont know if I should keep land mines seeing they were always being used as dynamite)

Why..? Cus it was around 100% hitchance? ^^ I've never really liked those weapons.. they're not quite as much fun seeing they dont require much skill.

They were far from 100% hit chance. They homed a bit, which enabled you to fire them around some corners, etc. when used skillfully. When not used properly, just a rare rocket launcher.
