Ok I want to be able to add a hero skill to a hero through triggers. But when I do, it sets the skill to level 1, doesnt show up in the heros skills and cant be learned to a higher level. The hero learns skills through purchasing books from a store. So once a book is purchased it adds that skill to the hero so I would need it to work correctly. It adds the skill to the hero unlearned (the plus sign shows up), and then he can now learn the skill. Any help? |

Short answer: You can't. Long answer: You'll need to work around using a spell book, and the most efficient way is using the trick to add abilities into a spell book (Vexorian put it under the systems/demo map area, somewhere there). |

I know a way to add leveable hero skills without Vexorians spellbook workaround. I found it in the wc3 ability guide by PitzerMike http://www.wc3campaigns.net/showthre...=ability+guide you give your hero dummy spells for each of your spells (you only need one for each level amount and level skip requirements) and then you replace them in game with the spells bought (or whatever) by adding and removing engineering upgrade. |

I currently use the engineering upgrade to accomplish basically the same thing. It works great, but takes a bit of time to setup if you are using it for a lot of heros. |
