made for the 3dtotal speed modelling challenge 100. All lego pieces are modeled by me, not from a plug-in or stuff like that. All pieces are scale models.

Hmm, why did you extrude the studs? Is there somthing bad with grouping a cylinder with a cuboid?

yeah, it's not realistic. All that's made out of 1 piece should be made of 1 piece. People who just make things out of joined primitives are pussies.

Looks awesome. So much like the real lego blocks :).

Well, surely 2 primitives = less polys :)

TDR is so cool that that is irrelevant.

who cares about polycount when high poly? :P (as a side note, this has around 600.000 polys)

thanks everyone. the render is not high quality, I should have let him render more, but I ran out of patience...

Awesome, one tiny nitpick though, the studs should have "lego" written on them.

Lol^

Well, I'm too much of an economist when it comes to modeling and wanted to see who you did it that way.

no shit. I was just lazy to make it. I didn't just want to make a 3d text and intersect it with the brick mesh, I was planning on modeling it on the actual mesh....wich would have taken more time.
