Spell Making Session 5

It is time for a new spell making session.

The point of this, and all other, spell making sessions, is to give all spell makers a challenge in a specific theme.

Prize:
The winner of each session gets 20 reputation points, and an award (awards are small icons that can be seen below your avatar in forum posts and in your profile).

Rules:
- You can use JASS / GUI / WEU or anything else that you want for your spell.
- The spell you enter must be new and made specially for this contest.
- Everybody is allowed and encouraged to enter, as long as they follow the rules.
- Please post info and WIP screenshots of your spell while you are making it, to get more activity in this thread.
The following rule is added for this session, due to complaints that imports played too large a role in who won the previous sessions:
- Imported models are only allowed if they are used for very minor things.
Examples of this could be an invisible model with attachment points, a modified dust model with a longer duration and similiar.
The sessions should be focused on the spell ideas and code.

When your spell is finished, just attach the map to this thread.

When the session is finished, your spell can be moved to the resources section if it follows the submission rules.

Theme:

This session's theme is resource usage. With resource I do not mean gold and lumber. The spell must use, for example, a corpse or a tree to be casted.

For a spell to follow this theme it must be cast on some object (the object(s) must be the target(s) of the spell), that is used as the resource. The resource disappears/is destroyed/is removed and some effect related to the object destroyed.

Take 'Force of Nature' as an example. It uses tress as a resource, kills them, and summons treants. It must be something like that, else the spell does not fit the theme, and won't be included in the poll.

Note: I did in no way come up with this idea. I have it from a contest by Daelin at wc3s about a year ago. I can, of course, not say where he got his inspiration from, as I do not know.

Deadline:

The session ends 15 days from now, that means on tuesday the 20th of june.

Good luck everybody!

So erm "Pick Pocket" would fall under this category right?

Depends on what a 'pick pocket' spell does.

I'm in

but I have a couple of questions on the leniancy of the resources part.

Can we use Actual units as resources? (goldmines,Townhalls,Ancients, villagers, trees of life ans so on)

And what are you looking for entirely about the resources like summoning spells, Explosions, buildings creation so on.

I'll Pm you about what I am planning for the spell and you can tell me what you think and if it follows the rules you set.

The 'resource' should be an object that is removed/destroyed/disappears etc. when used, to conjure a spell that is somehow related to the object.

How's about a pocket shop. It uses mana to summon it open, and it uses items to fuel its unsatiable desires.(you can sell items at the pocket shop to get gold durr). It then uses more cash to purchase items. Items could even use lumber! (though why would truly be a mystery).

As far as its code being new I just started tinkering with it, so its going to be very new. I will be using RCCS v W. Its equivalent to a caster systems type thing. Unfortuantly, Pitems is not new so it will only sell buffs but its still very cool idea.

Oooh... Sounds like fun... I've been hoping to try an idea that fits this. Hopefully this theme will get more entries that do a better job of meeting the session criterion than the last.

Indeed, Its not easy though

Like with mine, i've got the resources part but to set it all up to be a worthy spell takes time. Time I'll devote tomorrow.

Hmmm... so we can use an object as the origin point for a spell? Cool. I think I might make something... maybe not. We'll see what happens. :)

Hmm, I've got a really cool idea for this. Might submit it on this upcoming weekend.

You know I have an idea, but you're making it for TBB... Maybe I'll try something else.
