Music composing contests

I'm a bit dissapointed of not seeing any music composing contest on the site. There is so many other contests where I lack the skill to even bother try and that just sucks badly. I am sure that there are some other composers on this forum then just me. Come on, give us some contests

I think this fits better in site discussion than general development.

hmm...just how many compositors there are on this site? I only know of you and Challis...mabye you could challenge him personaly?

If there are others and who are willing to participate, then it would be cool. You should make a poll to see who's interested. I made that for the modeling challenge and quite a lot of people said they'd be in, but after 2-3 sessions there were only 3 or 4 people in...aniway...

I... Well, I've made a couple of bits o' crap over time, but they're based on real songs so they probably don't count. I just don't think you'd get much of a response; musical composition isn't that big a thing around warcraft, I suppose because of the filesizes associated with music...

I'm here now :P Damn, I need to actually look around the forums every now and then.

I'd really like to set a composing competition, but the fact is that we'd get, at best, maybe 2 entries, which isn't really enough. I can't compose anymore, my new PC's memory allocation system is screwed so I can't use soundcards, meaning no Midi or Gigastudios. I'm too lazy to reformat my machine and fix it.

If you can get, lets say, four people who'd be willing to enter, I'll set up the competition.
