It's an odd error I keep getting whenever I try to open some maps, does anyone know how to fix it? I have tried using UMSWE, WEU, and the original WE, but its all the same results. Edit: attatched the image instead of hosting it. |

You are probably trying to open protected maps. |

It would be nice uploading that picture directly here in future, theres a unneccersary pop-up there. |

Ok, so possibilities include: 1)Protected map. It is probably protected, but thats not what I asked. I asked how could I fix it. (probably has something to do with using an MPQeditor... right?) PS. How do I upload images and link-to images? Edit: Nevermind about the uploading... |

We don't tell people how to unprotect maps. Maps are protected for a reason; that is the choice of the map maker. We aren't going to tell people how to break into something the maker didn't want them to. Additionally, asking for or giving information about map unprotection is against the rules of WC3C. |

It seems to be what happens when you open a map that was affected by the optimizer's "Remove as much WE-only data as possible". You won't be able to open it with the world editor normally. The way to fix would be waiting till the blizz guys fix the bugs with world editor. I am gonna close this thread so we don't end having a "map protection" argument again |
