WT 23 - Cavern/Azjol'Nerub

The cavern loomed in front of me, the darkness enveloping. I had a few matches and didn't want to waste any unless it was truly necessary. I shivered from the eerie coldness of the cavern. The opening looked like a gaping maw. I entered. Inside were millions of stalagmites on the ground and stalactites on the ceiling, some fused together. Water dripped in some forgotten chamber. It was like looking into the innards of a beast.

Good luck. You'll need it. I haven't seen very many pretty caves in my life :P

I remember seeing something on TV about salt mines converted into churches. I found a picture of one here.

Edit: I now have a wip of a cavern.

- The terrain is flat
- Everthing is repetitive (tileset, benches are all the same, all the area in general)
- The candle-thing above is floating
- Make the area gloomier and the underground dome subtle
- Get rid of the obelisks
- You can barely see the throne, fountain and water
- Try a lower angle to take the pic
- Looks barely similar to your linked image

EDIT: I've just seen the time of your post and your edit post (which is when I suppose you ended your WIP) and let me tell you, if it took you nearly 3 hours to make it... well, you have much to practice. sorry but true :(

Where did I say I started working on the map right after my post? Anyways, thanks for the earlier suggestions, but it's just a wip. Really, this terrain is more just experimenting than anything.

Candle-thing: That's not complete yet. I'm going to add chains to it to make it look like it's hanging
Obelisks: I didn't put any in there.
You've also commented on how it doesn't look similar to the picture. My terrain is just some cavern, and the picture is a salt mine. I just threw that picture in as a reply to [Death]'s comment.

I'm not gonna enter this WT, not only I have exams next week but making caves is something I still can't master >_<
