JASS/Trigger Spells: Multi Summon

Hi guys. I was wondering if i could get some help making a spell or two.

Spell Number 1: Demon Horde

In this spell i would like it to be like Rain of Chaos, except that it summons 5-6 different demons

I've been looking over the tutorials around here and it seems the only way i could do it is to learn JASS and raw code one... which i dont really have the time for

I've tried making a dummy spell with GUI trigger effects but that didnt work at all... i've also tried summoning a dummy unit that casts 5-6 different modified Rain of Chaos spells -- which i think its a decent way of going about it, but i just couldnt get the dummy unit to cast it

Spell Number 2: Raise Dead, Raise Archer, Raise Mage
Also, i want to make a Necromancer type guy that has multiple raise dead spells to raise either an undead warrior, archer or mage. But when all 3 abilities are equipped it goes crazy and no matter which you click it uses the ability that is "last" in the list...

Any help would be greatly appreciated (and credited)

You don't need JASS, GUI triggers (Normal triggers) are enough. About that one spell activating only... you must base your spells on different ones. If you make 3 storm bolts, only one will be casted.

Yeah, i was just doing some more experimenting with the Undead one, i'll be able to get it to work, just gotta find different spells to base it on.



Still got no idea how im going to get the demon one working though.

It would be pretty easy in GUI to write a trigger for it. Have an event detecting the cast of the spell, then create the effects, damage enemies, and create units in random points within a radius from the target location.

(Ability being cast) Equal to Your Ability Here
Collapse Actions
Custom Script - //Down here in actions is where you do whatever you need

Here's a start for you.
I really don't think you learn anything if someone else makes it for you, so you should at least try to make it first. :P

It's simple:

Trigger:
Events-
Unit - A unit Starts the effect of an ability
Conditions- (Ability being cast) Equal to (Demonic Summon)
Actions-
Unit - Create 1 (or more) Demon 1 at random point in (Point of ability being cast in an area of ex.500)
Unit - Add a 60 second expiration timer to (Last Created Unit)
Unit - Create 1 (or more) Demon 2 at random point in (Point of ability being cast in an area of ex.500)
Unit - Add a 60 second expiration timer to (Last Created Unit) using "Summoned Unit" buff.

And so on. You can add special effects.
