Formed of the dirt and grass of the endless plains, the Plains Giants wander across their length and breadth till the end of time, pondering things that no mere mortal can ever comprehend.

The grass doesn't look too good and the colours are too bright.

Whats wrong with bright colors? I like bright colors...

Hmm, just noticed a few solid blocks of color floating around and that the color goes outside the lines alot more noticably than when i was drawing it. Odd.

Bright colours often look unnatural.

The only really bright colors are in the background, which is just some light green to offset the darker reds and browns that mostly make up the Giant.

Your definition of 'properly' seems off.

I drew outlines and then used TDR's (i think it was TDR's) tut on shading.

you should use a larger brush

Hmm, you think that'd help?

a lot, trust me. only fine details require small brushes.

While I am aware this is a little old (not much, tho), I suggest you try to use the largest brush size you can (without screwing up, obvsiouly). You just shrink it when needed.
