Can you copy and paste more then one unit at a time between maps?

I know you can export and import unit settings, but I don't want to override everything, I just need to transfer like 30 of my units from one map to another.

Doing it one at a time sucks.

I bet if you opened the .w3u with a hex editor you could do it, but it would require that you have documentation before first. Not that I would reccommend it thoguh...

Fortunately we do have documentation. As usual mike saves the day and maintains it.

I think it's doable.

An easy way would be to use the campaign editor.

Hm, how so, not sure how using the campaign editor would make this more convenient, cause I have over 30 units, and about 10 abilities and 10 upgrades to copy over but I have a lot of other data on that map I don't want to over-write... But that annoying lag delay between pasting a unit and switching back n forth between the map when you can only copy and paste 1 at a time makes it extremely tedious.

So if I import all those to the campaign editor, would I want to use them directly that way? or just copy from the campaign editor to my map data, removing the long delay time between switching maps?

You can just create a dummy campaign, open the first map and copy-paste all data to the dummy campaign. Then open the second map, keep the dummy campaign open, and copy-paste it from that to the map.

You can just export the object data to a file and then import it to the campaign object editor, thus saving you half the work.

how about saving your current with 'save as' then exporting from the second saved map

Is there anyway you can copy and paste the unit without it becoming a "custom" unit and simply replacing the existing unit?
