Hi all, I have some spells on my map using blood effects as buffs or triggers which add blood on units. What is the best effect to use? I mean, what effect should I use, I want a "neutral" effect (it can be ok for any unit, so for example red and not violet ecc...) and I normally use the ElfSpellThief's one, what do you suggest? Thanks. |

The human and high/blood elven special effects looks most neutral, I think. Which one of those you want to use, if you agree, depends on how big you want it. |

Well, what about something which is VERY visible and, most important, that could last on a unit the time for a buff, let's say 6-7 seconds? |

I'd use the Human Cenimatic blood effect, and the hydralisk attack effect for the intial hit. |

Any blood effect can be made to last for the duration of the buff spell, however long it is, by .mdl editing the model and adding the repeat attribute. I can post such a file here if you wish. EDIT: Uploaded such a file, used in a map of mine for a passive continual bleeding attack based off of the Envenomed Spears ability. |

I don't like Stampede's blood effect cause it has a sort of "shockwave" effect, thanks anyway. Hydralisk's one is quite good, thanks. I don't Bloodmage's one cause it has "blood drops" delay (it's supposed to be played while BM's dying), but thanks. Nice idea Panto! |
