In the object editor with the R255 B255 G255, are some units unnaffected by this? Becuase I tried to make an avatar of vengance yellow and nothing changed. Is the only way to change it is by re-skinning?

This is because Avatar of Vengeance is black and this color cannot be edited by changing RGB values in the editor. Another example are ribbon emitters and particle emitters, in example, if you change the colour of an Infernal model, the "green fire emitters" sourrounding him won't change, they will stay green; the best way is to change it's skin with a program such as PhotoShop.

RGB Values tell you how much of each color you have 'taken away' from the original. Since the Avatar of Vengeance is black, there are no colors to begin with.

It would look... yelow.

Blizzard really should have made more brighter models, since it's so easy to darken them with vertex colouring, but you can never brighten them. Maybe this could be a thought to consider for resource makers; if you can't decide wether to make a crystal model blue or green, make it white and use vertex colouring.
